APA is the preferred provider for American Photographic Artists. Members of APA will receive a discounted handling fee. We are here to keep the process simple and accessible, making your job easier.
what we do
Our payroll service provides daily, weekly, and salaried wages per individual client requests. We offer quick turn-around of properly submitted timecards, provide direct deposit to all employees & customize invoices and projects specifically to our clients’ needs.
Smith and Stilwell, dba APA National is a concierge service, holding your hand throughout the entire production process from pre-pro, to set visits, to wrap. We provide customizable and personable solutions for our clients, setting the burden of payroll computation aside to allow you to concentrate your energy where it matters most.
As your payroll provider, we handle the following:
Electronic hiring forms and timesheets
Turnaround of payroll registers with 48 hours of submitted timesheets
Checks or direct deposits issued
Nationwide workers compensation insurance, handling all claims and reports of injury
Unemployment insurance, handling all claims and paperwork
Withholding and filing for federal, state and local payroll taxes as well as W-2’s
Union fees, dues and benefits, if applicable
What you do
Fully executed contract with S&S
Provide proof of general liability
Verify all hiring documents and approve timesheets
Provide timely payment of invoices via check, wire, or PayPal (3% fee)
